Yosemite - Valley View
Peaceful afternoon at this famous location. I'm not a huge fan of midday shots. However, the reflection in the water compensate it a little bit.
Yosemite - Half Dome
The view of the Half Dome from Sentinel bridge across the Merced river, as the morning rays hit the valley. This is the location where Ansel Adams took his famous winter picture of this rock some 80 years ago, or so.
Yosemite - El Capitan
This 3000 feet of beautiful granite is probably the most recognized chunk of rock in the world to rock climbers. Climbers come from across the globe to challenge themselves on the 3000 foot walls of El Capitan. It's an awe-inspiring thing that first time you go to the Valley and stand at the base of El Cap, looking up.
Yosemite - Sentinel Dome tree
The visibility condition on the top of the dome wasn't really ideal for a big vista type of picture. So, I just took pictures of the trees I saw there on the top.
This is one of the best views of Half Dome. It is a long drive up from the valley to Glacier Point. The sunset is spectacular. I could've waited a little bit longer for my shot though. With binoculars, you can see hikers on top or even climbers on the moderate Snake Dike route on the southwest shoulder of Half Dome.
Yosemite - Moon rise
Full moon rise over Half Dome. The headlights of the climbers can be seen on the left side of the mountain.
